Guest commentary | It's all up to date in Blue Valley

Last year, as part of my research for a book about improving our schools, I went on a road trip across America, visiting over 40 school districts, private schools and charter schools in 16 states to see what is working in education. But then someone thought to check with officials at the University of Texas — whose own longhorn logo happens to be very similar, albeit orange instead of blue.

Missing daughter causes Disney trip cancellation, yet doesn't warrant refund

Your daughter ran away, which is a legitimate reason for canceling your vacation. As a company that caters to families — I mean, Disney is practically synonymous with family fun — you’d expect Mickey to show a little compassion.
